And on an even better note, homemade vinaigrette keeps for 1 to 2 weeks in the refrigerator without the added preservatives!
Olive oil itself is a powerhouse when it comes to healthy fats as it is primarily made up of monounsaturated fats which have been shown to help reduce blood pressure and even cholesterol levels!

Simple & Healthy Homemade Italian Dressing
Ingredients
- 1/3 cup olive oil
- 1 tbsp red wine vinegar
- 1/2 tsp minced garlic
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp dried basil
- 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 2 tsp lemon juice
Instructions
- Add all ingredients to a jar. Seal tightly and give it a good shake.
Notes:
To eliminate separation, you'll need to shake it up again before pouring
